AVC Open House

Posted by stephanie rogers on September 9, 2013 in Alumni & Friends, News

On Saturday, September 28, the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island will host its 25th annual Open House.

Every year, this popular one-day event attracts thousands of people of all ages who go behind the scenes to discover the world of veterinary medicine. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour of the College during which they can participate in a host of fun activities, interact with our staff, faculty and students, meet some of our teaching animals, and see our facilities including the new CT scanner suite and equine surgery table.

We invite students who are interested in an education in veterinary medicine to attend an information session during the AVC Open House, at 10 a.m. in Lecture Theatre A. This is their opportunity to explore the College and participate in an interactive session on the admission process with Dr. Leigh Lamont, our Associate Dean of Student and Academic Affairs; several students; and Jack MacDougall, UPEI Registrar's Office. A question and answer session will follow.

This session is first come, first served. Space is limited, so please contact Janice MacWilliam at jmacwilliam@upei.ca as soon as possible with numbers of students attending.  A second session is possible pending confirmation of attendees.
