Two undergraduate students, Shanthanu Krishna Kumar and Emily Walsh attended a Leadership Conference in St. Johnâs Nfld. Attendance for the conference, âRYLA on the Rocksâ , was fully sponsored by the Rotary Club of Truro.
âRYLA, the first of its kind for youth and young professionals in Atlantic Canada was a resounding success. The enthusiasm level at the conference was at its peak with lots of inspirational talks and team building activities.
The talks were given by high profile panelists with significant insight into their life and success. All along, the Rotary motto of ' Service above self' was evident in every activity. The conference was a perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn from the experienced and have fun as well. In short...' Twas the best weekend of the summer with a perfect combination of learning, fun and unforgettable memories.' -Shanthanu Kumarâ.
Shanthanu and Emily will be presenting their experiences to the Rotary Club of Truro.
