It’s a social phenomenon — and watching it together with your friends is an experience like no other.
Seeding Ideas Seed Library, the Living Earth Council and Acorn are co-sponsoring two all ages and skills events at the Truro Fire Hall (165 Victoria St, Truro). Bring a snack to share with your co-learners and neighbours.
Ashlea Hegedus-Viola (Hope Seeds, NS) and Chris Sanford (Yonder Hill, NS) will take you through all the basics for some of the most common seed saving plant families. You'll learn about minimum population sizes, required isolation distance, as well as how to harvest and clean your seed. We'll finish each webinar with a list of resources for further learning.
May 31 6:45pm-8:30pm  "Part 1: Cukes, Squash & Kale!" with Chris Sanford
June 1 6:45pm-8:30pm   "Part 2: Tomatoes, Peppers & Beans!" with Ashlea Hegedus-Viola
