During the winter semester of 2021, the ±«Óãtv Sandboxes ran a pilot program, DalBox Access, which supported diverse student teams to develop solutions for people with disabilities. As well as building skills crucial to workplace competitiveness, a critical outcome of the program was that the DalBox Access teams had to submit their solutions to the IDeA Accessibility Challenge (put on by Universities Canada).
Our very own Kaitlyn Busson, first year BSc. Biovet student, tuning-in via spotty internet from rural Alberta, took third place with her team in the national competition.
Now in its second iteration, DalBox Access is fortunate to have Kaitlyn participating as a Team Leader for this year’s competition.
Congratulations Kaitlyn for jobs well done! We look forward to the future you build at ±«Óãtv!
