Community Education Update

Posted by Stephanie Rogers on March 24, 2026 in News

The Truro Campus is pleased to welcome Jessica Fogarty back as Community Education Manager.

Jessica previously held this role, where she worked closely with faculty, staff and community partners to support youth programming and campus outreach initiatives. In that time, she coordinated school visits, contributed to programs such as AgZone and Grow Where You're Planted, and helped create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that reflect the breadth of expertise that our campus has to share.

Her background is rooted in sustainable agricultural practices and building strong community connections.  She brings experience in program coordination, community engagement, and developing educational opportunities that make understanding food systems accessible and relevant to diverse audiences.

Jessica is passionate about agricultural literacy and the important role the Faculty of Agriculture plays in inspiring future generations. She looks forward to building on the strong foundation of community education programming, strengthening connections with faculty and partners, and continuing to welcome students to campus to explore all that we have to offer.

Jessica welcomes new ideas and opportunities for collaboration. Whether fully formed or just a seed of an idea, she encourages faculty and staff to reach out,  she would be glad to help nurture it into a meaningful youth programming opportunity.
