Equity in Health

Providing the best health services possible means educating more practitioners who represent the diverse communities in which they serve. Your support of Equity in Health promotes and sustains a variety of equity-based initiatives across our diverse programs and helps create a health landscape that serves everyone. This includes initiatives such as bursaries for students from historically underrepresented groups, funding for student placements in remote communities, and developing special cohort programming.

Diversity in health

With the support of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, ±«Óãtv University is expanding two critical programs that will increase cultural diversity in health care.

TheÌýPromoting Leadership in Health for African Nova Scotians (PLANS) andÌýAboriginal Health Sciences Initiative (AHSI) programs encourage and support Aboriginal and African Nova Scotian students in pursuing careers in health care.
