Professor Josef Zwanziger directs the NMR-3 facility since 2020. During this time, he

  • guided the facility through COVID restrictions,
  • oversaw the installation of the helium recovery and reliquification systems, serving the solid state and high resolution NMR instruments in room 127 and 431,
  • overaw the installations of a new 400 MHz high resolution and the upgrade of the 500 MHz high resolution spectrometers (room 431). These instruments were funded by a CFI grant awarded to Professor Alison Thompson.
  • and the installation of a new 200 MHz Bruker solid state NMR spectrometer (room 127).Ìý  This instrument was installed in 2024. It was part of a CFI grant targeted for energy applications led by Professors Michael Freund and Erin Johnson, with Josef Zwanziger being a co-PI.
